I can look but not see, I can see but not understand.
I will never be able to understand what I see if I do not look for what it means.
Thereby, if I understand without looking to understand, it would require some sort of miracle,
Or a set of ear to hear beyond the noises and look through the spectacles.
I am not looking for trouble and I understand that there will always be conflicts.
I can see that there is no denying,
that we need conflict to move forward,
to thrive and strive to be better,
to survive and resolve issues,
so I look, and I understand.
If only all humans
can look beyond
imperfections,
then we will
be one step
closer to
perfection.
After all you can choose what you want to be.
Choose wisely.

Communication Is A Two Way Street
Whether or not it is accepted, I believe communication requires two consenting parties to happen.
Thereby it is understandable if one of which does not consent, the tool we call communication will not work.
The role, in which one is the giver and one is the receiver of the idea, can be configured as the objective dictates.
I talk about this here, because recently I got into a training, and one of the subject is communication, and it is mainly about receiving orders, of which I totally understand if we are only acting as a recipient. But when the means of communication, the barriers and how to overcome them, and the co-consenting nature of communication was not touched upon, I lose my interest. There are two sides of the coin, and if you only look and taught to look at one side, it's not the whole picture you're seeing, and incomplete information is a dangerous thing to have.

2016 - Rocky Start
Start with a good note, and in this third month, lots of disappointments and second guessing. While this is not a good enough start, but for me, "Press on!" is a phrase I will use. I will give this year my all, and for the rest, I leave it in Thy hands, My Lord. Be it unto me as You command. Please pray for me, if anyone is reading this, and if you meet me, please tell me everything will be alright, just to get my spirit up a little bit. In the end, I wish you all, sincerely, good luck and a good year of 2016. God bless.

What Do You See
What Do You See..
These are some hypothetical questions I thought of with the theme above.
1. when you close your eyes really really hard?
2. when you jump from a cliff, right at the very end?
3. or any high places, for that matter?
4. when you look really long period of time at the sun?
5. when you dream?
6. when you take psychoactive drugs such as LSD, or other hallucinogenic?
7. when you first open your eyes at birth?
8. when you are blind?
9. when you are really, really angry?
10. when you are devoid of the concept of morality?
11. when you've lost your mind?
12. when you grief very, very badly?
13. when you plan death?
14. when you get inspired, motivated, or focused?
15. when you get a heightened sense in an intense fight?
16. when your eyes got stabbed blind?
Maybe someone will share answers to these.. Would be very interesting, though maybe not comfortable to hear.

28 Years Later
Lately I've been thinking
Maybe there's a meaning behind mundane things that we did, that we still do and taken for granted.
Just like maybe there's an evolutionary imperative of why we walk with two limbs instead of four,
or how we retract our hands if they touch a hot object.
Putting that same logic into place, I present you these questions, maybe you know the answer:
1. Why does the waiting note in telephone sounds "beep, *silence*, beep, *silence*, beep, etc."?
2. Who agreed and proclaimed that it should be like that for every single phone line in every country? Or does it sound different in certain places, excluding ring back tone service?
3. Why is a black sheep or scape goat an expression of an ill-perceived person of the bunch? What did they do wrong? Was the goat tried to escape, thereby making it bad? Was them folks THAT racist back in the day, they separate sheep based on their fur color?
4. Why do we bite our nails when nervous? Or do some repetitive gesture?
5. Who's the first person to make "clenching fist and punch the sky" gesture as a symbol of winning?
Even further, why does this considered a gesture for winning anyway?
6. When you say stick it to the man, who are you referring to? And if you are a man, by that action alone, may I consider you as a partially gay person? (joking)
7. Why do you cover your eyes with your palm when something you're seeing is too bright? Your reflex of closing your eyelids is not only more effective, but also faster.
8. Why are we, secretly or openly, get some fun in seeing pursuit of man? Not saying anything bad about works like battle royale, hunger games, or even running man, it has been around for ages. Less recent but not to archaic example is the collosseum with its gladiator and slave contestants.
9. Why do we say killing is bad but still getting ready for war?
10. Why do we cry when we are sad? Physiologically, it is more helpful if we laugh, smile or even hug someone. Why do we need to pour salty water to our faces when we are sad?
Well, if someone have more, please feel free to join the discussion.
Anyway, I'm 28 now. Lots of things I did, and didn't do. If allowed, I wanna go do or don't do more. Maybe, I will amount to something.
Maybe, I will amount to nothing.
Or at least a fertilizer for the earth surrounding my tomb.
Or maybe when I died, my body will be burned and scattered into the sea, contributing to its ever present saltiness.
Or maybe you will remember me, the inquisitive and perpetually questioning and in contrast, always content, person.
Maybe, just maybe, I will be a good memory.
Thanking God for these 28 years of sour, bittersweet and exhilarating life, this is Lim.

27
I'm still twenty something, and though in my more than a quarter decade of so called life I've been happy, there are still things to be improved and achieved. In this moment let's set a few goals to myself:
1. I want to lose weight!
Setting my goals to be attainable, I want to lose 6 to 8 kg, with rate of 2-3 kg per week.
How to achieve this: - weight training and 15 min run alternatively
- eat less portion, and join together breakfast and lunch 3 times per week
2. I want to own a property
Search for available and accessible one to buy.
3. I want to have 20 million rupiahs saved in a year!
2 mil per month should more than suffice for this.
4. I want to be happier in life by taking frequent vacations, at least twice per 6 months.
There you have it. Setting goals.
Let's review this in a month or so.

For The Longest Time
For The Longest Time
Billy Joel, Rockapella
Oh oh oh,
For the longest time
Oh oh oh,
For the longest time
If you said good bye to me tonight
There would still be music left to write.
What else could I do?
I'm so inspired by you
That hasn't happened for the longest time...
Once I thought my innocence was gone
Now I know that happiness goes on
That's where you found me
When you put your arms around me
I haven't been there for the longest time
Oh oh oh
For the longest time
Oh oh oh
For the longest time
I'm that voice you're hearing in the hall
And the greatest miracle of all
Is how I need you
And how you needed me too
That hasn't happened for the longest time
Maybe this won't last very long
But you feel so right
And I could be wrong
Maybe I've been hoping too hard
But I've gone this far
And it's more that I hoped for
Who knows how much further we'll go on
Maybe I'll be sorry when you're gone
I'll take my chances
I forgot how nice romance is
I haven't been there for the longest time
I had second thoughts at the start
I said to myself
Hold on to your heart
Now I know the woman that you are
You're wonderful so far
And it's more that I hoped for
I don't care what consequence it brings
I have been a fool for lesser things
I want you so bad
I think you ought to know that
I intend to hold you
For the longest time
